Simon hasn't seen much of the world either, but it's already seeming better than the dreary, old city he'd been in not long before. Like with most things in his life, he's sure it's more insidious than it appears but for now, he'll enjoy the change of scenery.

Her praise makes him bashful, but he's surprised at how quickly she feels the need to clarify. He's really used to rude jokes with absolutely no clarification required. He offers her a weak smile, hoping she doesn't feel too bad for misspeaking.

"It's alright." He assures. "I really haven't done much of anything. Just watching people, mostly.." He trails off, because he realises he probably sounds weird. "You've been standing here longer than anyone else, though."
